My spouse and myself are called for 485 initial interview, .
1) Do my spouse need to take Affidavit of Support docs(form I 864), my 485 is employment based and not family based(I am the primary applicant).

I have applied for EAD renewal on September 1 2010. I have received receipt notice and checks are cashed . There was soft LUD on my case two weeks back without any change in status . To day I got email with case status � Initial Review� with following messsage
We have placed this case I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION on hold because there is a pending litigation that may affect the outcome. We will resume processing as soon as the litigation is resolved. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision about your case, or if the office needs additional information.
This is my 5th my EAD Renewal and earlier I do not have any issues with Renewals . My current EAD Expires in December 1 Week . Please advise what I need to in this case , as I do not have any clue about pending litigation. Can I check with Local office about what was the pending litigation or do I need to approach through lawyer

Can you use your spouse's cross-changeability after you have filed for your I-140 already ? How time consuming is this for the USCIS to acknowledge ?
i am quite sure you can...infact you can do this at any stage including after filing I-485.
please verify with an attorney...you will need one to do it correctly.

1500 H-1Bs were claimed in the last week and just over 20,000 remain for the fiscal year. Based on a four week rolling average (1175), I am projecting the target will be exhausted in 17 weeks which will be February 23, 2011. Previously, I had been projecting March, but the overall usage of H-1Bs has been somewhat busier in the last month than in previous months. The "A" number eventually becomes your GC number. It is not necessarily the Visa Number...we don't get to see the Visa Number.

Hi! My company is moving to another address. My I-140 was filed on July 2, 2007 (USCIS receipt date August 20, 2007). My H-1B 6th year will end on July 1, 2009. My lawyer wants to file for the change of address and the H-1B extension together. He is asking for about $2k+ for self and family (incl atty fee and filing fees).
Is the change of address on H-1B that big a deal? Can anyone please advise? Is it not a simple AR-11 form that has to be filed? Are the requirements for change of address different once labor certification is done.

Wow! This act was so good. And I see 27 sponsors! What ever happened to it??? Maybe we should petition to get this introduced again, this was more like a real reform. It seems like Democrats supported it, but probably lost the fight with Republican congress at the time.

Dear all,
My husband and I had applied last july for I-485. I am expected to renew my Advance parole document this month i.e August. I have not sent any documents to USCIS as of now. Today I checked the status of my LUDs and I see that there is a change in LUD status of Advance Parole, it now shows 27th july 2008.
Could anyone tell me why this change when no documents have been even sent? No other of my cases are showing change such as I-485, EAD.

My priority date is Jan 04 which was current in June this year. My stupid lawyer sent the whole package of I485 and I765 for me and wife to Chicago address (for family based cases) instead of the Nebraska address where employment based cases are supposed to be sent. The package was mailed around 15th June. I started getting worried since my checks haven't been cashed today so I called the National customer center where they told me about this goof up and said they mailed the package back to the lawyer, last Tuesday.
I don't know if there is anything that can be done at this point to salvage the situation since, with the July bulletin fiasco everything is unavailable now. Really appreciate if any one knowledgeable can comment...any help really

My understanding is, you don't have to. AOS is a valid status until there is a yes or no decision on your 485 applicaiton from USCIS.

Tried to post in another, old thread - no response for several days, so decided to create a new one.
I asked my employer to create sub-account for me at http://www.plc.doleta.gov so I could check my PERM case status without polling them. The employer got back to me and said "looked into the site and I couldn�t find the way to create user account to view your case only".
They dont mind making sub-account for me, same way they do for attorneys and paralegals, but they dont want me to see their other pending cases or any information, unrelated to my case. So, my question is: is there a way to create sub-account, which would allow seeing my own case only?

My wife couldn't get Xray on a failed TB skin test, because she was pregnant at the time we filed our 485. Our priority date will be current in August.
Should we wait for a RFE on her medicals? Or is it possible to go ahead and do it, and send an update to USCIS?
